Yes — Playra is completely free to start. You can farm, fish, craft, and explore without spending any money or buying any crypto. A wallet is optional and only needed if you want to withdraw your $PYRA tokens.
No wallet is required to get started. You can sign up with an email address and begin farming immediately. You only need a wallet if you want to withdraw your $PYRA tokens.
Playra is built on Robinhood, a low-fee Ethereum Layer 2 network. Transactions cost a fraction of a cent, so you can craft and trade without worrying about gas fees. The $PYRA token is also available on Base chain.
$PYRA is the in-game utility token of Playra. You earn it by playing — selling crops, completing deliveries, and competing in seasonal chapters. It can be swapped on Uniswap but is designed as an in-game currency, not an investment.
Players earn $PYRA by farming crops, raising animals, fishing for rare Marine Marvels, and completing NPC deliveries. The token economy rewards skilled, active farmers with $PYRA tokens that can be used for farm upgrades.
Farmers are your playable characters in Playra, living alongside friendly local Villagers. As you harvest crops and cook dishes, your Farmer levels up to unlock new tools, skills, and expansions unique to your farm.
Unlike most blockchain games, Playra is fully free to start, built on the low-fee Robinhood, and backed by an open-source codebase anyone can audit on GitHub. Early pioneers who join the waitlist get exclusive access, early airdrops, and special rewards before public launch.
Playra is an open-source Web3 farming game. The entire game code is open source on GitHub and smart contracts are verified. You never need to connect a wallet or spend money to play.
